Monitor Channel 72 –
Committee boat will give instructions via the radio…call in when you arrive at the Starting Area (Green No. 15)
Starting Line: A line from green #15 extending
north to orange mark placed by the Committee Boat…or the Committee Boat may serve as the end of the line..
Starting Sequence:
Committee Boat will announce
via radio…”The 5 minute Warning horn will sound in about 1 minute”
This indicates you should get ready to start your watch with the 5
minute Warning horn.
Warning:
Warning Horn blast 5 minutes before start.
Start:
Long Horn Blast
1st mark: Orange buoy about 1.3 miles (heading ~70 degrees after clearing Horse
Point) ..Round orange buoy on your starboard side.
2nd mark: White mooring ball
– round on your starboard side
Finish Line - Committee Boat and Green # 15
Committee Boat will record finish times for each boat. We
will adjust finish times based on PHRF handicaps which are available on-line from the US Sailing Association or as
provided by the boat owner.
